“She looks just like a dream~
The prettiest girl I’ve ever seen~”
A bright day? A dark night?
I don’t quite remember it that well.
But what I do remember, no doubt,
Are those pretty eyes that made my heart swell.
It’s as though crafted, piece by piece,
Broken and beautiful, like the light and the sea,
All carefully placed, so that it could be,
The most breathtaking view the ordinary could see.
I could go on and on forever,
She couldn’t have a thing that wouldn’t make my interest spike,
Her full lips, parting to voice her thoughts out,
And that little nose she didn’t really like.
Her cheeks, though sunken slightly, so full of colour,
Her voice, smooth and oh so lovely,
Her hair like grass, soft like feather,
And her eyes, oh her eyes, couldn’t get more dreamy.
Yet she weeps, she weeps for others and herself,
It breaks me to look at her.
Why can’t she see what I see?
Why can’t she feel what I feel?
Why can’t she just let herself BE?
The hate in her eyes.
The guilt in her throat.
The pain on her wrists.
The terror in her hands.
The sorrow in her chest.
The shame on her face.
PLEASE END IT ALL. Please.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
Perhaps that is the fate of the world,
For all the flowers wither and swell,
No matter how long we hold them,
On one saying do they dwell.
